  • I am thrilled to share the wonderful experience my family and I had during our stay at Upper Court Holiday Cottages in Kemerton, UK. As a father of five children, ranging in age from 2 to 11, finding a vacation spot that caters to everyone's needs can be quite a feat. However, Upper Court not only met but exceeded our expectations in every way possible. One of the standout features of our stay was the unbeatable location of Upper Court. Situated conveniently, it served as the perfect launching point for our day trips to the Cotswolds. When you have five children with varying interests and energy levels, having easy access to numerous attractions is a game changer. Our explorations of the Cotswolds were not only enjoyable but also hassle-free, thanks to the proximity of Upper Court. An unexpected delight during our stay was the charming local pub in Kemerton. Not only did it accommodate our family of seven with ease, but it also treated us to delectable cuisine and impeccable service. It's a rare find to discover a place where both kids and adults can savor the menu. Our family dinners at the pub turned into cherished memories, thanks to the inviting ambiance and scrumptious dishes. The grounds and gardens of Upper Court were a source of endless joy for our children. Hours were spent exploring the lush gardens, indulging in imaginative play, and soaking in the beauty of nature. It's truly heartwarming to witness children of all ages reveling in the outdoors, especially in today's digital age. The serene surroundings offered a much-needed retreat for my wife and me, allowing us to unwind while our children embraced the magic of the outdoors. Our accommodations in the Courtyard Cottage provided the perfect blend of comfort and practicality. Traveling with a large family can be quite a logistical challenge, and the cottage's thoughtful layout catered to our needs beautifully. From cozy evenings by the fireplace to family movie nights in the living room, the cottage truly felt like a home away from home. The design ensured that everyone had their own space, allowing for relaxation and rejuvenation. Yet, what truly made our stay exceptional was the genuine kindness of the Upper Court Family. From the moment we arrived, we felt like welcomed guests rather than mere visitors. The attentiveness and care went above and beyond, creating an atmosphere that was both inviting and familial. These personal touches transformed our vacation into a deeply meaningful experience for our family. In summary, our stay at Upper Court Holiday Cottages in Kemerton, UK, was nothing short of incredible. From its strategic location for day trips and the delightful pub experience to the captivating gardens, the comfort of the Courtyard Cottage, and the sincere hospitality of the Upper Court Family, every aspect of our stay contributed to lasting memories. If you're seeking a family-oriented getaway that caters to all ages, I wholeheartedly recommend considering Upper Court for your next holiday.

  • We spent an idyllic week staying at the Dovecote. It was a perfect little haven of peace and quiet. To be able to walk out of the door into nature, walking the gardens, standing at the waters edge watching the comings and goings of the Ducks and Moorhens was bliss, you couldn't help but be in the moment, a perfect antidote to a busy working life, even if it was for just a few days. We had a regular visitor of Robin who popped into the kitchen for the odd crumb left behind by our two small Dogs who were warmly welcomed. We took advantage of all the activities that were available, we rowed around Swan's Island, played table tennis, swam in the pool and luxuriated in the sauna..... Perfect. There are a number of lovely walks around the pretty village, though our Dogs are elderly so we couldn't walk them too far. The owners, family and staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had realised that Robin hadn't been in that day and while sitting on the stone bench, a flutter of something took my eye in the attic window..... there he was, he had obviously gone in to visit and been locked in, within 30 minutes of me contacting the family, he was flying free again..... not to sound too poetic, but that is how my soul felt in those few peaceful days in the Dovecote. We would love to stay again, hopefully soon.

  • If you are looking to stay in a living part of English history this is the ideal venue. A beautiful Manor House and outbuildings that offer modern amenities but still give you the feel that you are enjoying a historical experience. Our party consisted of members from the Usa, Asia and Europe and so it provided a unique experience. The number of buildings and cottages means that larger parties can be catered for with each group having their own unique accommodation. Part of the fun was visiting all the different rooms as every one was unique. We hired the Gallery so all the group could join together at meal times and it became the hub for our group. There are also lots of activities of which most are free although there are some with an additional charge Overall a great place especially for a large group.

  • We hired the two cottages for my sisters hen do, from start to finish the process was easy thanks to Katharine. The cottages themselves were lovely and the grounds they are in were stunning. My sister and the group had the best weekend and we discussed going back at a later day for another amazing weekend. I would 100% recommended staying here.

  • The property and the surrounding facilities were wonderful. We had an amazing stay, and even ran out of time to do some of the activities we wanted. We were a large family group covering ages 5 to nearly 80, and everyone had a great time. The property is ideally located near lots of places o visit as well as having amazing stuff to do on site. The swimming pool was a particular highlight. The accomodation is also very safe and secure.

  • I originally booked the Upper Court for May 2021 to coincide with my 65th birthday but this had to be postponed due to covid. Unbeknown to us at the time, the rescheduled date ended up as the Platinum Jubilee weekend. I invited my 4 daughters and their families plus my Mother, Brother and Sister. In the end there were 22 of us over the weekend (Thursday to Sunday) ranging in age from 1 to 92. we used the Courtyard Cottage, Dovecote and 3 rooms in the Manor house as well as the Coach House. The attraction of the Upper Court was that it was just about the right size for my party and it offered the opportunity of both separate spaces (for my daughters with children) and a space for mixing. It meant my guests could do their own thing if they wished or join together for meals and activities. I had visited the site about a month before our stay and looked around the grounds. I'd recommend a visit in advance but if anything, it only confirmed my original decision. The weekend itself made for a wonderful family gathering and I don't think it could have gone any better. The house and grounds are beautiful and the village is quiet. The accommodation worked well. It took a number of attempts to find the best combination of rooms and cottages for the various groups but the accommodation is quite flexible and in the end we arrived at a very good solution. If anything, the rooms in the Coach House felt bigger than they looked on the website. We managed 4 "home-cooked" meals all together in the lounge of the Coach House and ate at the Crown Inn in the village on the Saturday evening - which had the benefit of being in walking distance. We had a minor changeover of rooms on the Friday, due to the combination of rooms and arrival dates but it worked well and the rooms were made up exceptionally well with the minimum of fuss. During the weekend, we spent time in the grounds, the village, visited Hidcote Manor and climbed over Bredon Hill. The feedback from everyone who went is very positive and I'm really pleased with my choice.

  • This was a beautiful cottage and we had a lovely stay. Only issue being a skylight making the room too light for my children to settle to sleep. Thank you for a lovely stay!

  • We booked all of the cottages and the gallery for a hen party and had an absolutely amazing weekend. The properties themselves were lovely, clean and had all that we needed, the grounds were incredible and the gallery room was perfect for what we needed. We also paid to have the pool heated and enjoyed two lovely afternoons in the pool. The properties, location, grounds and owners/staff were all amazing from start to finish! We also thought it was great value for money and would definitely return. Our hen said it was the perfect venue! We've made memories we will treasure, thank you!

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend at the manor for a belated celebration of my birthday. We were immediately drawn to the various activities on offer and the location as it’s close to Bredon Hill. We were warmly welcomed by the family and shown to our beautifully decorated room, which overlooked the lake. As a lovely touch, we we’re even treated to some hand baked biscuits. All in all, our stay was very relaxing and we will definitely book again in the future.
